About Me

Hi! My name is Elizabeth Krag, I live in Edwardsville IL and I'd love to be your  family photographer.  After a career including non-profit management and computer software, I left the traditional workforce to care for my children. I've always loved photography and am thrilled to be doing it professionally. This is my moment! The granddaughter  of a professional photographer, I was raised with a camera in my hand (before cellphones!) I'm a food allergy mama that has learned to cook anything without egg and milk.  I am a life long Scout, recently leading both a Boy Scouts and Girl Scout troop's. My degree may be in Sociology (I love people) but I spent about half my college life in art classes. After spending years learning applied arts, art history, and graphic design I have a solid foundation in color theory and composition. This greatly informs my creative choices. My art education, love of people, and my experience with children have all lead me to this. Isn't it funny how life prepares you for the wildest of adventures?

When I'm not behind the camera I take in as much of my family as possible. We regularly hike the local trails or take in a stage show together. I could spend hours building with Lego and playing Minecraft with my kids. I've volunteered or worked with kids my entire life and really love getting to know them.  I will do just about anything to make them laugh and make their photography experience fun for them.  I want them to love the experience. I want you all to love the experience. You know their looks of pure joy.  I want you to have THAT hanging on your wall.  This includes everyone that I photograph.  I think people are the most lovely when they are relaxed and happy.  It's my job to make you relaxed and happy.  From kids to senior citizens I just love getting to know people.  I love helping people remember where they've been, and where they belong, and also documenting the magic of their life as it is right now. Things change by the moment so this is important to me. There is no going back, and you will miss these days.  Having quality portraits of our lives, loved ones, and growing families means we are preserving our family legacy for generations to come.  My hope is that these portraits will line the walls of your home, fill you with joy, and your family with a feeling of belonging, for a lifetime.

I love to document love, and boy is there a lot of it. I'd love to document yours.  It's important. It is your life, and your story, lets preserve it forever.

LOVE, Elizabeth
